Company

Compliance behaves like infrastructure. We're building it like infrastructure.

Regulated companies don't fail exams for lack of good intentions. They fail because the rule, the control and the proof live in different systems that never talk. We started Regulation Layer to build the layer underneath all three.

What we believe

Four principles we build to.

01

People make the calls

AI does the reading and the drafting. A named person signs every material decision.

02

Proof over narrative

A signed record that a control ran beats any slide that says it probably did.

03

Fewer moving parts

We build the critical path ourselves, so your data never depends on a vendor you didn't choose.

04

Good days count too

Compliance work deserves to feel like progress. We mark every gap closed, not only every failure.

Our story

The first great dial was made of stone.

Five thousand years ago, on Salisbury Plain, people raised a ring of standing stones that still keeps time. It was built in layers, it tracks the year, and it carries sound in a way that still surprises acousticians. Almost everything we believe about compliance is written into it.

01

Built in layers

On the plain

Work began around 3000 BC with a ditch and bank. Stones followed centuries later, and the monument was rebuilt and rearranged over roughly 1,500 years.

In Regulation Layer

Compliance arrives in layers too: statute, regulation, guidance, supervisory expectation and standard. We read every one, and tag each obligation with the layer it came from.

02

It keeps time

On the plain

Its main axis lines up with the midsummer sunrise and the midwinter sunset. People could read the turning of the year from the stones.

In Regulation Layer

The dial does the same for your obligations: today lit, the next 30 days on the bezel, and every deadline in view before it arrives.

03

Sound carries inside the ring

On the plain

A University of Salford scale model found the stones amplified a voice by about 4 dB and gave it a reverberation like a large cinema. Inside the circle, a speaker was clearly heard.

In Regulation Layer

Our job is to lift the signal that matters above the noise, so the right person hears the rule that changes their work, the day it lands.

Built in layers. Built to keep time. Built to be heard.
