Controls & evidence

Evidence package

A signed, hash-chained bundle proving a control ran against an obligation at a point in time.

Overview

An evidence package binds together the obligation and its version, the control, the data tested, the mapping rationale, the reviewer’s decision and a cryptographic seal. Each package carries the hash of the one before it, so a missing or altered record is detectable.

It connects most directly to Hash-chained evidence, Audit evidence and Private evidence chain.
